1. Purpose
This policy establishes membership eligibility, dues categories, and payment requirements for Sin City Repeater Group, Inc. (the “Corporation”) in a manner consistent with its mission, bylaws, and applicable law. Dues support the Corporation’s administrative, educational, and operational activities and do not constitute payment for voting rights, repeater access, or governance authority.
2. General Principles
Membership dues are a financial contribution to support the Corporation’s mission. Payment of dues does not create any ownership interest, contractual right, entitlement to services, guarantee of repeater access, or expectation of continued membership or participation.
Voting rights, repeater access, and operational privileges are governed exclusively by the Corporation’s bylaws and adopted policies and are not granted or implied by the payment of dues.
3. Age Eligibility
Membership in the Corporation is limited to individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) are not eligible for membership but may participate as non-member observers or guests in Corporation activities only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, subject to the discretion of the Corporation and compliance with all applicable policies.
Participation by minors does not create membership status, voting rights, access privileges, or any entitlement of any kind.
4. Membership Categories and Dues
A. Voting Members
Voting membership is not obtained through the payment of dues. Voting members qualify under criteria set forth in the bylaws, including repeater sponsorship, sustained operational service, or presidential appointment. Voting members may, but are not required to, make voluntary financial contributions.
B. Standard Non-Voting Members
Standard non-voting membership is available to individuals who support the Corporation’s mission. Annual dues for standard non-voting membership shall be $75.
C. Senior Non-Voting Members
Individuals who have attained Social Security retirement age, as defined by federal law, may qualify for senior non-voting membership. Annual dues for senior non-voting membership shall be $50. The Corporation may require reasonable proof of age, such as a government-issued photo identification.
D. Veteran Non-Voting Members
Individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces and who were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable may qualify for veteran non-voting membership. Annual dues for veteran non-voting membership shall be $40. The Corporation may require reasonable documentation of service and discharge status, including but not limited to a DD Form 214 or equivalent record. Individuals discharged under dishonorable conditions are not eligible for this discounted rate.
E. Out-of-Area Members
Individuals who reside outside the Corporation’s primary service area may be granted non-voting out-of-area membership at no cost, as determined by the Corporation. Out-of-area membership does not include voting rights, repeater access, or operational privileges.
5. Documentation and Verification
The Corporation reserves the right to request reasonable documentation to verify eligibility for discounted membership categories or age requirements. Failure or refusal to provide requested documentation may result in reclassification to the standard non-voting membership category or denial of discounted status.
All documentation shall be reviewed solely for eligibility verification and handled in a manner consistent with confidentiality expectations.
6. Payment, Term, and Delinquency
Membership dues are assessed on a rolling annual basis, with each membership term extending twelve (12) months from the date of payment. Membership may be suspended or terminated for non-payment of dues in accordance with the bylaws and applicable policies.
7. Waivers and Adjustments
The Board of Directors retains discretion to waive or adjust dues in extraordinary circumstances consistent with the Corporation’s mission and financial policies. No waiver or adjustment shall create precedent or entitlement.
8. No Refunds
Membership dues are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly approved by the Board of Directors.
9. Administration and Amendment
This policy is adopted by resolution of the Board of Directors. It may be amended, suspended, or rescinded by the Board at any time. This policy is subordinate to the Corporation’s bylaws and applicable law.
