Yes, licenses are required to get on the radio. This applies to everyone from broadcast television stations to ham radio operators to the local police department. There are tons of resources available online for getting your license. We’re not going to rehash them here. Check out the American Radio Relay League’s site or QRZ.com for practice questions and info on how to take the test.
